Q: What tasks must I complete prior to becoming an employee of LPL?

A: Our HR team will be in communication with you about required activities and documents that must be completed as part of the HR Onboarding process to become an LPL employee.  Your onboarding activities will start approximately 30 days prior to your start date that is outlined in your offer letter.  These steps include:

  • Satisfactory completion of a background check by an outside agency and/or internally.  Given the timing between your offer acceptance and your start date, you may need to complete two background checks.  The first one will occur towards the end of November and the second one will happen approximately 30 days prior to your start date.  You will be asked complete an authorization form for each of these checks.
  • Completing activities in our HR System, Workday, that include items such as acknowledging Company documents and updating your personal information.
  • Completion of the I-9 Employment Authorization Process in our HR System, Workday.
  • If your position requires securities license(s), successfully obtaining the license(s) within the timeframe specified in your offer letter.

Q: Will I be required to complete fingerprinting as part of the employee onboarding process?

A: Yes, you will receive more information on the fingerprinting process as part of your onboarding materials 30 days prior to your start date.
